"Had me thinking there" he said smiling. He himself hadn't received his yet, but was hoping to. Suddenly his train of thougt was broken with McGonagall introducing the new first years. How come first years always look like lambs being lead to their slaughtering? he though. It's not that bad.

"yup". Lazarus stood up and noticed a small what looked like 2nd or 3rd year staring at him. He drew him back a dirty look, knowing fine well he would be expelled if he used magic so early andso uncalled for.

As Harriates name was called she took er place on the stall and allowed the filthy hat to be lowered onto her head. She knew shed be in Slytherin. Sure enough.
'SLYTHERIN' She made her way back to her seat waiting for the rest to be sorted and the ball to commence.

The soring hat was placed on Lazarus' head as he sat on the stool. It hesitated for a moment, and then announced "Slytherin!"

Harriate smirked as the hat cried Slytherin again. The welcome ball was due to start at the end of the sorting. She leaned back in her seat and sighed.

Lazarus wasn't particularly looking forward to the ball, he didn't enjoy them much, but he was gonna stay anyway and just watch people. He loved people watching

Harriate yawned. This was dull. She started longingly at the ceiling wanting to be outside.

after being sorted which turned out to be the worse thing that had ever happend to him in his life, he hated being in front of everyone and even worse they had made him take his hood off, he was so angry he could have killed some one or the whole hall which ever came first, he was slightly comferted by the fact that the hat had taken less than a second to shout "slytherin"
he walked back over to Harriate and sat down " so made any new freinds yet" angelus asked trying to keep his rage from showing
